Team Collaboration

At the first time, we didn’t know each other very well because we came from different classes. However, we are gathered in to one team which was named “Pattern Team”. We were trying to be well-cooperated and well-communicated. Usually we communicated in a direct way on a break time and after school. But somehow we also communicated through messages calls on cellular phones. We were given different tasks, but still we had to integrate all things to be one unity. For example, Tara and Risma were assigned to make a quiz and gather the data. Ade was asked to edit and arrange the web displays while Oki was to make flash and slide show. Leni’s task was to take pictures and Fandi’s was to find articles. After they had done each job, all things were gathered to the process of making the web.

Beside the cooperation of each member, we also faced some obstacles. We often had different opinions and perceptions, but those differences were not the barriers for us to keep cooperating in order to finish this job well. Another obstacle lied in the character of each individual in which sometimes we were less cooperative or even lazy and irresponsible for our job. But then the coach called up all the members to do an evaluation for our works. From that point, we began to realize about our own duty and started to do the job better. As a result, we were able to cooperate very well each other.

Team Diversity

Within the team, we have varieties of diversities and uniqueness from each individual, such as residential differences and differences in skills and ability.

The first difference is about residence. Although the team members live in one area, South Jakarta, our residence is relatively far one and another. Some of us still have to take bus or train to get to the school to do the web processing.

Another difference lies on the ability of each team member. Oky and Ade for example, they have the skills related computing and web design. Other members, Tara and Risma are good at finding information or articles about the topic. Leni is best at taking pictures, and Fandi is skillful in English.
