Our purpose is to provide information about wild birds commonly seen in New England. We hope our web site will help educate both people who live in New England and those who visit the area. Many of the birds included in our site are found in other areas of the country as well as in New England. We hope our website will stimulate an overall interest in wild birds, birdwatching (or birding), bird habits and needs. Finally, we hope this process will heighten awareness of the importance of the protection of varied habitats, not only for the benefit of birds, but for the benefit of wildlife generally.
