Team Collaboration
The team was split up in accordance to different preferences in coming up with the website. The appointed in-charge for the content was Wei Chuan and Edmund while Gerald and Kelvin focused on designing the website, with the survey and quiz left for Aaron and Hiroki. Every member contributed their part in the content research and contributed to active discussions and sharing sessions. Usually, the Singaporean students conducted discussions with Hiroki separately through emails and Instant Messaging as he is currently residing in Japan. However, due to difficulties in communication, Kelvin and Wei Chuan travelled to Japan from the 21st March to 31th March to work on this competition. During their stay in Japan, major changes were done to the design of the website - credits to Hiroki. A survey targeted on the Japanese was also conducted there during that period of time.
Team Diversity
Our team of 6 consists of members from Singapore and Japan. All 5 of the Singaporean students are able to speak and write in English but some are more at ease with Mandarin. Conversing mostly in Japanese, Hiroki’s grasp of the English Language is weak. To overcome language barriers, translation is carried out by Wei Chuan who is conversant in the language. Also, the members come from across different religious backgrounds ranging from Buddhism, Catholicism and Christianity, with each possessing rather distinct views and moral values from one another.
