1、The teaching objectives of this project:
To help students learn more about Xunhua folk customs, everyday life, tourism culture, religious beliefs, etc., through active participation. Also to learn about the great change in Xunhua after the reform and opening policies.
Site visits, interviews, internet discussion, and writing reports about their experiences.
3、Steps for undertaking the main activities
（1）、We organized the students to participate in a trip to Xunhua’s MengDa Heavenly Lake, to experience the beauty of nature and enjoy the development of the local tourism.
（2）、We combined with some hand-in-hand local partner schools and became hand-in-hand friends. We all studies together and enjoyed living together and learning about the development of the local education, and getting to know how the local government attaches importance to minority education and care for the Salar peoples’ normal life.
（3）、Finally, we invited some local citizens to give us an introduction to the history of the development of the Salar people, explaining the differences between the previous and afterward times in regard to the open policies. We learned much about traditional culture.
