Team Collaboration

In this project, all the members are very cooperative and communications are frequent. The work division of the project was split among the members.

Joel, from Brisbane maintained the website, with the aid of Jane from Hong Kong, while Kang Le from Singapore and Belle, Mavis and Jane from Hong Kong worked on the research and the content of the web. Meetings were held on a bi-weekly basis, where ideas were exchanged and fervent discussions were held of the issues pertaining to the topic. The main points in the meetings were jotted down so as to provide reference for future work. Provided with advanced technology nowadays, emails were fired around. Also, there was a good platform for communication – Windows Live Messenger where members can exchange their ideas and opinions, aiming for better performance in the project. Of course, there were informal sessions as well, as team members got to know more about each other.

Team Diversity

The team comprises of members from Hong Kong, Brisbane and Singapore of different strengths and qualities, for example, Joel from Brisbane masters in designing webpages while Kang Le from Singapore is good at establishing analysis and doing research. Each member has different culture and background so as to help them to raise opinions from different perspectives for us to look at different sides of the issue. This is especially crucial when we are studying a complicated matter, like the impacts of Renaissance on the world. The influence that Renaissance brought did not only affect one party but different sectors in the society. Therefore, we have to do ample research on how different social groups were affected by the ideas during Renaissance. Having a diversity of culture and background surely gives us a wider vision.
