The Dangers of Genetic Engineering and the Benefits of Organic Foods
1999
Genetic engineering, and the publics' understanding of it, is a very important topic, and one that may very well change certian aspects of life as we know it. We understood the importance of this subject, and wanted everyone to know about the dangers of genetic engineering and the benefits of organic foods. It is only fair to the general public that they know about genetic engineering, and are able to voice their opinions. A huge jump in biotechnology is taking place, and almost half of the US population doesn't even know what's happening. We felt that it was important to help everyone learn about what is going on, how it effects them, and what they can do so that they feel comfortable with the future of the food we eat. Like us, many people do not want to see GE giants, like Monsanto, controlling the agricultural industry, and we want to show them how to stop that from happening. Our site was created to give its readers all the information they need to fully understand genetic engineering - how it's used, the dangers, and what they can do if they wish to help stop it. We also inform them on how to avoid GE foods, including buying organic foods, or growing their own organic garden
