The educational objectives were multi-faceted and multidimensional for the team members. Many skills were utilized within the parameters of constructing the project and the hands-on approach gave the students invaluable experience in producing and completing the final project. The educational objectives would also span many skill levels in reading and writing. This type of project also builds socio-emotional maturity because of an individual's personal commitment to the team.
For students viewing the entry the educational objectives would include the following:
1) gain a better understanding of the different types of energy used in the world today
2) develop an awareness of possible pollutants and some solutions in the use and production of energy
3) understand what countries are major producers of certain types of energy
4) enhance an understanding of energy through activities, self-checks, and puzzles
