The site " Filipino and Chinese Immigration to Hawaii - Our Roots" was developed so that: 1. Students will seek information from a variety of sources and media. 2. Students will use information gathered to create a solution/s for the topic/problem they have selected. 3. Students will use technology from within their classroom curriculum, do independent research on self selected topics, while working collaboratively to produce their project. 4. Students will research their roots and make connections to themselves; understand their roots; to appreciate and honor ancestors.
