Team Collaboration

The entire project content was distributed to the team members depending on their strengths and weaknesses and assistance was provided at the grass root level and the content was well defined. This channelised the entire team efforts and of course the enthusiasm with which the work was initiated. One of the member volunteered to do the survey in the market and that work was compiled later. One preferred to take appointment with eminent authorities of Central Leather Research Institute, Chennai and two members joined her in video shooting and recording and the other member provided the logistic support.

One member took up exploring the net on the various data across the globe to have genuine data from the engine drive. All members went to the tannery to have the real version of the processing of leather. The site was video shot and the same was later compiled by using various software provided by Oracle to articulate all the subject content into a tiny, ofcourse an amateur work of trying to create and develop a small website with originality and innovative thoughts of all the team members. This made all the team members learn the technology with fun and no pressure and burden on their academic curriculum. The work began right from the day we registered for the project as it involved lot of information to be gathered from different sources. It was fun and not at all a burden doing this project, as I have already mentioned that, This school is attached to the project of INDIA-CLRI ie, Central Leather Research Institute-Chennai, So collection of information was authentic, team members had the scope of going to the tannery, one to one interaction with the Eminent Scientists and above all Chennai exports leather products to the world market. So Chennai has a selling and a buying market as far as leather is concerned and after the meticulous interviews, our team realised that , in INDIA atleast the animals are not slain for the purpose of manufacturing Leather but rather the slain animals hide is being fruitfully utilised. The misconception that our team had in the beginning had to be gradually transformed to the concept that , the animal hide was being utilised and the fact remains that leather products are truly Biodegradable and no harm to the nature is caused due to human intelligence and economy that goes to transform the animal hide into Genuine Leather Products.

Team Diversity

My team does not include diversity as far as members across the globe is concerned but definitely it has diversity as far as intelligence, diversified interest is concerned, and above all the varied interest the team members have, facilitated me to manage the resources in them. It just needed me to fabricate all their ideas, motivation to work, the team spirit into an ideal setup that helped me to culminate their work in the form of a website.Few members were not well versed with the use of software, Thanks to oracle which helped them to gel without any disparity and unify the brains and content easily. My members belong to Christianity and Hinduism as far as Religion is concerned, Cultures are identical as we all belong to one nation and over and above all they belong to more or less same socio Economic status as team members are the children of eminent Scients of CLRI- Chennai. This made things more simpler and hassel free.

The raw material for the content was easily available as the project happens to be at the closest vicinity of the school. The eminent scientists happen to be the parents of our children, so accessibility to various department was taken over easily. The data is authentic as it was directly from the horses mouth.Varoou interviews, interactions, with the scientists gave a holistic approach to the topic.
