Chaos Theory
In a World of Order, Chaos Reigns
1996
A chaotic washing machine? That's right. In 1993, Goldstar Company created the first consumer product to exploit "chaos theory." This washing machine was supposed to produce cleaner and less-tangled clothes. Chaos theory attempts to explain the fact that complex and unpredictable results can and will occur in systems that are sensitive to their initial conditions. The history of chaos theory is explained along with other real-life examples.
