WEATHER OR NOT, Meteorology or Mythology is an interdisciplinary theme that connects the science of weather and climate with multicultural folklore. The website invites the viewer to explore weather phenomena and mythical proverbs from around the world. Our "Bearcats" team created unique science investigations, math applications, fine arts visuals of drawing, painting, and photography, social studies explorations, and 'climatic' problem-solving activities to involve our viewers. WEATHER OR NOT employs humor to entice the viewers to browse through the different links related to weather forecasting, rain and rainbows, thunder and lightning,tornadoes, hurricanes, snow and blizzards, as well as mythical proverbs related to forecasting. In addition the team researched and documented cultural appreciation of the cricket and scientific respect of the insect's ability to predict weather conditions. The website is entwined with hyperlinks to provide additional connectivity to extensive URLs to support further meterological or mythological research by the "Bearcats" electronic audience.
