World Places

2009
Our website is about traveling around the world to visit interesting places that we would like to visit. We researched and read about Stonehenge, Angkor-wat, Eiffel Tower, Moai Statues, and more. We want students to visit our site to learn about these neat places so that if they get to travel there, they will know more about it.

Team Collaboration

Our team worked together during school, after school, and at home. We even wrote to each other on PB Wiki to remind each other of the jobs we needed to complete. We had fun making animations and drawings.

Jacob and Jake worked on the website pages because they were good in figuring out Adobe Dreamweaver. They like to problem solve and figure out the details.

Shelby did most of the drawings and research. I am pretty good at drawing and I like to research. I know how to locate information on the INternet and books.

Lauren K. is also artistic and she helped us in the planning stage. However, she quit working on it after that. This caused disagreements in our group because we had big plans. As a result, our group didn't get to complete as much of the website as we wanted. This disagreement also put us behind schedule because she didn't fulfill her obligation to site. Everyone else in the group was upset but we continued to work. We had to do the parts that she didn't finish. We expressed our disappointment to her but she didn't care.

William helped out in all of the areas and was fun to work with. He is very good at writing content for pages and then checking them over.

Andrew helped out in many ways such as researching, animations, drawing, and checking the website. He was easy to work with and his strength is humor. He kept us laughing.

After we got over the big bump in the road with Lauren, our team began to work harder and we pulled together. We knew we only had a certain amount of time to finish our website, so we all pitched in to get it done!

Team Diversity

Our team is diverse in many ways. William is very detail oriented and likes to get things perfect. Jake and Jacob are very technical. Lauren K. is new to our school this year and she came from China. She was adopted by her mom. Lauren K. lives with her mom and could not make it to after school practice. Most of us all live in the same town so we are similar in backgrounds.

We have 4 boys in the group and 2 girls. Since I was the main girl working in the group as the team leader, I wouldn't always think the same way as the boys. This helped to give us more ideas. The boys were also different in thinking and this helped to make our website more interesting.
