SHARE dot Com
1999
Our web site, Share.com, caters to variety of individuals ranging from those new to the Internet all the way to the intermediate users and even the people interested in online role playing. We believe life is all about experiences, and from experiencing our site we hope that a user can learn things such as how to use a FTP client, make a web page, search the web more efficiently, or conduct themselves online. For those interested in the Internet, we created a small but important section detailing the Internets history. Even more important is the section on the Confrontations server. The server itself is based on a role playing system where individuals interact with one another and learn from experience. The code we put in allows more flexibility within the world and distinguishes it from other servers based on the same engine. Really the whole point of the server is to enjoy oneself, but at the same time learn by figuring out puzzles, and helping each other succeed in a virtual world. Role playing is much like school in the way that the core of the education is in the interaction with other people, and even coping with the most annoying ones. Education is about learning useful things towards making the world around you a better place, and our objective in creating this site was providing the basics to help a person create an online identity and learn useful skills while doing so.
