Seven Wonders of the Ancient World

1999
The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World is a website to help explore the mystery and history of seven monuments. The Pyramids of Egypt, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Statue of Zeus, the Colossus of Rhodes, the Lighthouse at Alexandria, the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, and the Temple of Artimas are rarely explored by school-age students, yet hold a fascination when studied. To teach other students about these wonders, the website opens to what appears to be an old newspaper, The Ancient Times Newspaper. Within the paper are links leading the student to each of the Seven Wonders, each a different section of the "newspaper". Maps, histories, pictures, even "psychic predictions" are included to help further explain these monuments and their importance.

We have also included links to other internet resources to expand on the information we researched and shared. Our most important objective was to use the internet to provide a way for kids to learn and have fun at the same time. We also wanted to share information on a topic that would interest other students using the power of the internet to enrich and enhance their research experience and to provide a way for other students to share their information with us and with each other.
