This web site was created in honor of World War II Soldiers. It commemorates the unsung warriors that fought for the freedom of the civilized world. It focuses on three groups (Filipino, African American and Chinese) as they represent our team members’ cultural-ethnic backgrounds. We want people to know of these groups’ roles and hardships throughout World War II.

On December 7, 1941, Pearl Harbor was bombed by the Japanese. Widespread anger and chaos ensued. The U.S. government immediately declared war upon Japan marking the entrance of the U.S. into World War II. This also marked the beginning of the incarceration of Japanese-Americans. A truly unjustified action, the internment of the Japanese is one example of how unsolved discrimination can bring injustice to U.S. citizens. This website honors the Japanese-Americans who went through the experience and lived to tell. History is meant to be passed on and used to keep from making the same mistakes.

It presents the events leading up to the attack, the losses, and the lessons learned from the tragedy. Also included are interviews with survivors, a virtual reality game, surveys, and examples of what we can do to create a more peaceful world.

We will not blow American power out of proportion like it has been done in many history books. We will portray World War 2 as it happened. We will not make it seem as if Americans won every battle. We will make it seem like the truth, which was that we needed our allies as much as they needed us. Americans aren't like they are in the movies and the video games. They die when shot and they lose battles. I am not saying that everything you've seen and heard is false, but a lot of it has been written from a biased point of view. So now, without further ado, we will now commence to portray World War 2 as unbiased as we possibly can.

These stories and accounts are things we need to hear. They may not always be happy, but they teach us about how our freedom was earned. The site branches off from there. We've got a timeline with some stories integrated. There is a hall of fame for veterans to show off medals and honors they've recieved. There are games that are just for fun like "Match the Veteran" or that are for learning and stimulating the desire to research like "Who's That Dictator?" There are links to books and websites that tell the history of WWII through interviews and personal accounts. We've also posted newspapers arcticles that talk about life back during the War. Our web site is a wonderful resource for kids around ages 8-up because we purposely designed the stories and information to be understood by children. There are not many pages they can understand on World War Two. We have a trivia, an interview, and many other interesting items, most found on the Miscellaneous page. We took the tragedy of the awful war and tried to put it in a kids perspective. We explained all of the major parts of the war and added fun details for interest.
