Amputees face physical and emotional challenges every day of their lives. Having a positive attitude helps to alleviate some of the difficulties. Visitors to this site will learn about amputees and about some causes for this type of disability and will discover how some special people face the challenge of living in a society of "whole" people.

They go to school, have a job, like to watch television, like to play games or sports. Or hate sports.. They like to play on the computer, and have hobbys. They want to have their own room which they can decorate themselves.

Signs are shown for many common words and phrases both in U.S. and Japanese sign language. Some signs are quite similar. Sign language is good even if you are not deaf, because there are many instances in which it can be used when speaking is not allowed.
