Our entry is about the Ancient/Native Hawaiians, their culture, their accomplishments, and ultimately a whole different world many people didn't know existed. Some people think Hawaii is a place with grass as our clothes and no cars or no buildings. But that's very wrong!! Hawaii has high technology, cars (limos), sky scrapers and even a air port. Hawaii is modernize, but we're trying to teach others that Hawaiians worked hard to accomplish what they have. They navigated on their own, they made their own way of government, and they used the land for many different purposes.

1. Our focus is to promote the Hawaiian islands and to try to make Hawaii more alluring to the visitor. We will be promoting the natural beauty of the islands with an emphasis on values. Faith, patience and respect are a few of the many values we feel makes Hawaii the paradise that we treasure. We also hope to foster an awareness that these values exist in all our communities throughout the world.

The 6th grade students from Multicultural Magnet School have designed a website which highlights things to do" in the Greater Bridgeport, Connecticut Municipal Area for both parents and children. This website will serve as both an entertainment guide and a historical resource for the community. One important goal of this project is to instill and encourage pride in the City of Bridgeport. Bridgeport, CT is a large urban center which has undergone many positive changes in recent years. We have included place such as The Discovery Museum, the Barnum Museum, Captain's Cove Marina and Harbor Yard.

This Thinkquest site is an interdisciplinary unit based on a sixth grade math program whose focus is area and perimeter. To include the math curriculum and to highlight our geographical area (Cape Cod, Massachusetts), our team will research the region and identify the key elements of history, oceanography and horticulture. A park will be designed using area and perimeter as the mathematical basis. Activities will be designed to appeal to a variety of learning styles and abilities.

We would like to share some of these stories with the world with our site, "Voices on the Wind, Legends from Old Hawaii." On our site, six of the colorful legends are retold and related to the geological and ecological events that fostered those stories. This project is called "Interactive American Geography." Using a map of the United States we gave statistics and information for each individual state. The map acts as a metaphor for the user to see the relationships between the various aspects of Social Science. We used technology to allow the user to look up information on the Economy, Government, Climate, and Important Historical information.
