It ran from the Pennsylvania coal fields to the Hudson River. From there the coal was then barged or shipped by sloop down to New York City. It operated from 1828 to 1898. It was the first privately owned million dollar corporation in the United States.

Our entry is about the Ancient/Native Hawaiians, their culture, their accomplishments, and ultimately a whole different world many people didn't know existed. Some people think Hawaii is a place with grass as our clothes and no cars or no buildings. But that's very wrong!! Hawaii has high technology, cars (limos), sky scrapers and even a air port. Hawaii is modernize, but we're trying to teach others that Hawaiians worked hard to accomplish what they have. They navigated on their own, they made their own way of government, and they used the land for many different purposes.
