Enroll a New School
Warning! This section includes instructions for enrolling simultaneously in ThinkQuest Projects, the ThinkQuest Narrative Competition (optional), and the ThinkQuest Website Competition (optional). If you wish to enroll
only in the ThinkQuest Website Competition, please visit the
Website Competition section.
Please note:
- Only a school employee should enroll a school (students and parents are not permitted to apply).
- Only one employee from a school needs to apply. Once a school is enrolled, all teachers and students at that school are eligible for accounts.
- Before enrolling, please be sure your school meets the eligibility requirements.
To enroll a school:
- Go to http://www.thinkquest.org and click the Enroll button.
- Select your country and location.
- Select "Single School".
- Select "Projects" to enroll in ThinkQuest Projects, the ThinkQuest Narrative Competition (optional), and the ThinkQuest Website Competition (optional).
- Click the links to review the Legal Agreements.
- Enter your school details and work email address.
- Click the Next button.
- Select your school from the list, or click the Add a School button if your school is not listed.
- Verify or enter your school information.
- Enter your salutation, full name, job title, and a password you will use to log in to ThinkQuest Projects.
- Enter the salutation, full name, job title, and email address for a principal or head teacher who can accept the ThinkQuest Legal Agreements on behalf of your school ("Signing Authority").
- Click the Next button.
- Review the information you entered (click Back to make any edits) and click the Next button.
- You have now completed the application. You will receive confirmation by email, and your Signing Authority will receive an email with instructions on how to accept the ThinkQuest Legal Agreement.
- After your Signing Authority has accepted the ThinkQuest Legal Agreement, Oracle Education Foundation Staff will review your application.
- If your application is approved, you will receive an email with instructions for setting up your school in ThinkQuest Projects.
Add ThinkQuest Projects to a Competition School
Warning! This section includes instructions for enrolling in ThinkQuest Projects if your school
already participates in the ThinkQuest Website Competition. If your school is completely new to ThinkQuest, please follow the
instructions above to enroll a new school.
To enroll in ThinkQuest Projects:
- Log in to your Website Competition coach account.
- Under the "Join Projects" section on the right, click the Enroll Now button.
- Verify or enter the salutation, full name, job title, and email address for a principal or head teacher who can accept the ThinkQuest Projects Legal Agreement on behalf of your school ("Signing Authority"). By default, these fields are populated with the Signing Authority who originally accepted the ThinkQuest Competition Legal Agreement for your school.
- Click the Next button.
- Review the information (click Back to make any edits) and click the Next button.
- You have now completed the application. You will receive confirmation by email, and your Signing Authority will receive an email with instructions on how to accept the ThinkQuest Projects Legal Agreement.
- After your Signing Authority has accepted the ThinkQuest Projects Legal Agreement, Oracle Education Foundation Staff will review your application.
- If your application is approved, you will receive an email with instructions for setting up your school in ThinkQuest Projects.
Request a Teacher Account at an Existing School
Warning! This section includes instructions for requesting a teacher account if your school is
already a member of ThinkQuest Projects. If your school is completely new to ThinkQuest, please follow the
instructions above to enroll a new school.
Please note that you can only request a teacher account at an existing school if you are an employee of that school. Your School Administrator (person responsible for managing ThinkQuest Projects in your school) must review and approve your request.
To request a teacher account:
- Go to http://www.thinkquest.org and click the Enroll button.
- Select your country and location.
- Select "Single School".
- Select "Projects".
- Enter your school details and work email address.
- Click the Next button.
- Click your school name.
- Enter your salutation, full name, job title, work phone number, and a password you will use to log in to ThinkQuest Projects.
- Click the Next button.
- Review the information you entered (click Back to make any edits) and click the Next button.
- You have now submitted your request. Your School Administrator will receive a message with your request.
- If your School Administrator approves your request, you will receive a confirmation email.
