How do I enroll my school or district/LEA for membership in ThinkQuest Projects?

In which countries is ThinkQuest Projects available?

Why is ThinkQuest Projects only available in certain countries?
The Oracle Education Foundation interfaces with the local education authorities in each country to introduce ThinkQuest Projects. By working with the Ministry of Education, ThinkQuest Projects can be implemented in a manner consistent with the goals of local educators. In addition, local partners help provide teacher training and local implementation support.
What are the roles and responsibilities of the Oracle Education Foundation and the member schools?
Oracle Education Foundation:
- Serve as the Service Provider, hosting the machines and the system
- Review and validate the enrollment of new schools and districts
- Authorize the participation of educational partners
- Manage the overall community and provide support to members
Schools and Districts/LEAs:
- Enroll online, and accept and abide by the ThinkQuest Legal Agreement
- Appoint a minimum of one School Administrator per school site who will oversee the school's use of ThinkQuest Projects, including account creation and content monitoring, in accordance with the Terms of Use
- Ensure necessary hardware and software configurations (internet browser and network protocols) for school computers
- Encourage the use of ThinkQuest Projects in the classroom
What administrative support is required from a member school?
Each school must appoint at least one staff member to serve in the role of School Administrator. The School Administrator is responsible for the following:
- Overseeing the school's participation in ThinkQuest Projects, providing basic support to teachers and students when needed
- Collecting and retaining Parental Consent forms
- Creating and managing teacher accounts
- Managing school settings
- Ensuring that content is monitored at least every 60 days according to the Terms of Use
- Serving as the main point of contact between the school and the Oracle Education Foundation
How do I check if my school or district/LEA is already enrolled in ThinkQuest Projects?
If your school or district is already enrolled (or if someone has already submitted an application on behalf of your school or district), you will be informed during online enrollment. If you need help identifying the Administrator for your school or district, please contact us.
How long does it take for my ThinkQuest Projects application to be approved?
Once your Signing Authority has
accepted the Legal Agreement, Oracle Education Foundation Staff will generally review your application within seven days. However, there may occasionally be delays due to high volume of applications. The best way to ensure your application is processed quickly is to follow directions carefully and provide accurate information.
How do I check the status of my ThinkQuest Projects application?
To check the status of your application, you can log in to ThinkQuest Projects with your email address and the password that you entered during online enrollment. Please remember that Oracle Education Foundation Staff will not review your application until your Signing Authority has
accepted the Legal Agreement online.

What happens once my application has been approved?
Once approved, you will receive an email notification with instructions for setting up your school or district in ThinkQuest Projects.
